H. L. Leonard Fly Fishing Vintage reel Patent No 191813.
Small threaded thumb screw cover is missing from center of side-plate, see photos. Staining and debris on spool is easily removable but I did not want to disassemble the reel to properly clean it, this is better suited for an experienced professional.
On Jan-18-23 at 12:17:02 PST, seller added the following information:
There is no spool to frame contact or rubbing when the handle is turned, it is quiet. There is no clicker sound in either direction indicating the pawl mechanism is inoperable.
I referred to a missing piece in the description as a “threaded thumb screw cover” that is also known as a “bearing cover”.
